Do baro and barmii apply to brothers and sisters in general ? I thought it was respectively for younger brother and younger sister only.

* For ayo, "wife of spouse ate bo or wife’s baro". I'm not getting u here..Could u please elaborate a little bit ?

* For am = sister in law (younger). Do u mean "brother's wife younger than speaker" or "younger brother's wife" ?

anu => 2. younger sister / daughter of ate bo or aku bo [for ata bo]

Do u mean that :

- a gal addresses her father's brother's daughter as 'anu' ?

- a gal also addresses her mother's brother's daughter as 'anu' ?

@pb
[* For ayo, "wife of spouse ate bo or wife’s baro".]

atebo in apatani means elder bro as well as paternal uncle. if wife of paternal uncle or even elder bro is much older than the wife of spouse, she may call her 'ayo'.

*[ For am = sister in law (younger). Do u mean "brother's wife younger than speaker" or "younger brother's wife" ?]

'am' is younger bro's wife or younger cousin's wife who is also younger than the speaker.

[anu => 2. younger sister / daughter of ate bo or aku bo [for ata bo]]

younger sister is 'anu' for elder sister. here elder sis or younger sis mean sisters from same parents or maternal or paternal cousins.

hope u r able to make out the meaning.
